Chili had the honor of being the oldest family member at Mr. Jojo’s. We took him in when he was almost 18. Honestly, we thought he would be a short timer. He fooled us all! Even with his rotten teeth, level 5 heart murmur and heart disease he cherished life. He loved to go on walks…or rather runs because he would run like he was a pup. He was sweet for a chi but did get a bit grumpy in his older age. He would growl at Poopsie if she happened to wander within 50 feet of him (his eyesight was great), then he would run out to pounce on her, snarling the whole time with his one tooth. After he finished, he would prance back to his bed acting so proud of himself. I would always imagine him saying “Victory is mine!”
Silly Chili passed peacefully at home in mommy’s arms early Friday morning on 2/23. It was so sad, but beautiful at the same time. He was a wonderful little guy, and we are honored we were able to spend the last year and 3 months of his life with him. We love you forever Chili
